Travel Agents Association of Turkey (TURSAB) in partnership with the Armutalan Municipality held a groundbreaking ceremony of "TÜRSAB Armutalan Cultural Centre". As the host of the ceremony Armutalan Mayor Muhammet Unlu, TURSAB General Chairman Basaran Ulusoy, Mugla Governor Fatih Sahin, Marmaris Governor A. Serdar Polat, Marmaris Mayor Ali Acar and many guests attended the groundbreaking ceremony of "Tursab Armutalan Culturel Center".
Governer Sahin made a statement in the ceremony about the importance of service quality in tourism, " Employees who working in all sectors need to increase their hardware. More tourist were invited as guest than the previous year in Muğla in 2011. Increasing number of tourists does not make too much sense. We have to draw tourists who in high-income and spend much money. Need to increase more than our goal. We live in the paradise and the balance of the world must be careful about the use and protection. Must provide more opportunities from this beauty .
I thank you infinitely to Armutalan Mayor Muhammet Unlu and TURSAB General Chairman Basaran Ulusoy who work personally for making this Culture Center. This cultural center which will be used, will contribute to very large regional tourism, not only for citizens in the region. I would like to thank everyone who contributed. "he said.
TURSAB General Chairman Basaran ULUSOY made a speech at the ceremony, "We started to work a long time ago and now carry out ground-breaking ceremony for the cultural center. I want to thank to Armutalan Mayor Muhammet Unlu for their patience. As a result of a long struggle to complete this project is currently we are laying the foundation. I would like to thank to everybody who came to the groundbreaking ceremony. 220 tons iron, 2.000 cubic meters of concrete and 6.000 meters cubic molds will used for this 2800 square-meter center. Will work simultaneously with the Kusadasi Congress and Culture Center which will be completed in a short time. I believe that Congress and Culture Center will benefit to the people in the region and the diversification of tourism. Thank to everyone who support us for this Culture Center and I wish may it be useful and beneficial for everyone.
Armutalan Mayor Muhammet Unlu also made a statement, "First of all, thank to everyone who participate the activity. We set out to build of Armutalan Congress and Culture Center a long time ago and now have completed. We've already made this center will serve for the entire region, not only for Armutalan. In this way, a large deficit will be closed. The field of regional tourism will be diversity in our region with this center and will be artistic activities through the winter months.

At the end of the speeches, Mugla Governor Fatih Sahin, Marmaris Governer A. Serdar Polat, Armutalan Mayor Muhammet Unlu and Chairman of TURSAB Basaran Ulusoy pressed the button and the first mortar was poured into construction.
Congress and Cultural Center is expected to cost approximately 3.5 million TL and will defray the need for at least 20 years in the region. 600 square meters 650-seat conference room in the center, 250 square meter hall, shops, library, work office of TÜRSAB, cafeteria and a multi-purpose hall will be located. Center which is 1544 square meter will be completed within a year.
